Department Action

Collin County’s Consulting Services Agreement with The Nature Conservancy for prairie restoration and maintenance at Parkhill Prairie will expire on Dec 31, 2022. The Engineering Department would like to renew this agreement and extend it for five (5) years from 2023-2027 at the annual cost of $8,200 ($41,000 total). Funds are available in the Open Space Discretionary accounts and a Budget Adjustment is needed to move funds to the newly created Project Code.

The Scope of Services being provided by TNC and proposed Budget for each year is shown on Exhibit “A” of the attached agreement.

Action Requested: It is requested that the Commissioners Court approve and execute the attached Consulting Services Agreement between Collin County and The Nature Conservancy for prairie restoration and maintenance at Parkhill Prairie and for the Budget Adjustment to move:

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of the Consulting Services Agreement with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) for continued prairie restoration and maintenance at Parkhill Prairie and further allow Purchasing Agent to execute the same. Agreement term will be for five (5) years from January 1, 2023 thru December 31, 2027 at an annual cost of $8200.00. The Scope of Services being provided by TNC and a proposed Budget for each year is shown on Exhibit “A” of the attached agreement. An aerial image showing the portion of park property where these services would be provided is also attached for reference. gz

Funds available in the amount of $41,000 for an agreement with The Nature Conservancy for continued prairie restoration and maintenance at Parkhill Prairie. Agreement is a 5 yer term from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2027 at an annual cost of $8,200. Budget Adjustment included in the amount of $41,000 to fund the full 5 year agreement from 2007 Open Space project savings.
