Department Action

The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) was presented at the Public Hearing on November 10, 2022. This draft document indicated that the “orange” alignment (south and east of the McKinney National Airport) was the recommended alignment for the freeway. TxDOT has been receiving and addressing comments since that time and is getting close to completing the DEIS to submit for approval.

It would be helpful if Collin County showed support for this document and this alignment. Attached is a proposed resolution for the Commissioners Court to consider.

Action Requested: It is recommended that the Commissioners Court approve the attached resolution and authorize the staff to transmit to the Texas Department of Transportation upon execution by members of the Commissioners Court.
