Attached is the DSHS approved budget amendment request to the COVID-19 Vaccination Capacity Project 1 grant funds. I respectfully request approval of this budget amendment. The total budget for the grant award will be maintained at $1,995,432.00.

Based on the FORM I-1: PERSONNEL Budget Category Detail Form, the total cost estimate for eight employees' salary and fringe is $1,713,058.00 using the amount of months indicated on this form, their current salaries, and estimated increases over time. The salary and fringe cost of the titles labeled "discontinued," calculated at min, total $182,006.00. The memo mentions removing 3 Health Care Analysts and 1 Medical Assistant. The total salary and fringe cost estimate for these 4 positions is $169,894.00 for 12 months.

Budget Department Action

Amendment No.2 to the COVID-19 Vaccination Capacity Project 1 Grant to discontinue three (3) Health Care Analyst positions and one (1) Medical Assistant position to offset the addition of two (2) RNs and (1) Functional Analyst (no addition to headcount) at 100%. Budget amendment to re-allocate budgeted funds between categories to offset personnel expenses with no change to original grant award funding. Grant period through June 30, 2024. Auditor's Office Action

Budget amendment to move funds between categories, resulting in a net-zero dollar change in the budget total. Contract amount remains the same as well as the end date of the grant which is June 30, 2024.
