Department Action

We received a written request from the owner of lots 1 and 2, Block 2 of the Love Addition, a platted subdivision located on the Northwest corner of FM 982 and CR 959 near Princeton, TX. The owner is seeking to buy half the dedicated right of way (ROW). The total land area is to be determined when the survey is created. The reason for the request is due to the existing structure being partially located in the platted ROW.

The ROW is not needed for any future transportation needs. All surrounding parcels will have road frontage.

I have discussed this situation with Mr. Kleinheksel and neither of us see an issue with
The County allowing the requestor to proceed with the purchase this unimproved ROW.

The purchaser understands that he will be responsible for all costs associated with this transaction.

ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court’s authorization to proceed with the sale of surplus right of way adjacent to lots 1 and 2, Block 2 within the Love Addition.
