Department Action

This is a request to apply for FY 2022 General Victims Assistance Grant. The grant would be used to fund salary and benefits for a full time Collin County Sheriff's Office Crime Victim Advocate to provide victim advocacy services for violent crime victims and their families. This grant would run from October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court approval to apply for the FY2022 General Victim Assistance Grant (SO Crime Victim Advocate) from the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, and authorize County Judge to execute certification form and resolution. sh

FY 2022 General Victim Assistance Grant in the amount of $75,197 in federal funds with a required county match of $21,311 for a program total of $96,508. The match is in-kind utilizing Sheriff’s Office personnel time. Grant will fund salary and benefits for an existing Victim Assistance Coordinator. Grant period is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached.
