Department Action

Requesting to apply for the FY24 VOCA grant. This will fund salary, benefits, and training for a full time Crime Victim Advocate for the Sheriff's Office.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to apply for Office of the Governor (OAG) for General Victims Assistance grant for $84,696 with no County match required, and authorize County Judge to execute same. The grant period is October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024. gz

VOCA grant for 1 existing position of Victim Assistance Coordinator in range 535 for existing employee, Celina Peters. Salary and fringe estimated at $78,194.00.

Budget Department Action

FY 2024 Sheriff’s Office Crime Victim Advocate Grant in the amount of $84,696 in federal funds. Grant application for one (1) existing position (no increase to headcount) funded at 100%. Also included is software and training and travel. No county match required. Grant period is October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant to fund salary and benefits for full time Collin County Sheriff's Office Crime Victim Advocate to provide victim advocacy services for violent crime victims and their families. Federal funds in the amount of $84,696 with no county match required. Grant period is from 10/1/2023 through 9/30/2024.
