Budget Department Action

Two options have been provided. The first option is following the same budget calendar schedule we used for the FY 2023 budget. This puts us AFTER the 78th day before the uniform election day. The second option is adopting by the 78th day before the uniform election date. If the County were to propose a tax rate above the Voter-Approval Rate we would need to adopt the tax rate no later than the 78th day before the next uniform election date per Tax Code 26.05(a) and Election Code 3.005(e).
