This is notification to Commissioners Court of a budget establishment for the CJD FY2023 Bullet Resistant Shields grant for the Sheriff’s Office in the amount of $100,625.28. This state funding will be used to purchase bullet resistant shields and the equipment is designed to enhance patrol operations, traffic enforcement , emergency response and crisis negotiations. The grant period is from September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2023. The grant award was accepted on 1/23/2023 via Court Order 2023-067-01-23.
