I am requesting Commissioner Court to accept the FY 2023 Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Grant Extension.  This award grants an additional $15,000 of funding to my office to combat internet-based crimes against children.   The money must be spent and reimbursements submitted by September 15, 2024, and there is no county-match.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to accept the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) additional grant funding in the amount of $15,000 with no County match required, and authorize County Judge to execute same. The grant period is October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024. gz

FY 2023 Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Grant Extension to extend the grant period for one (1) year through September 30, 2024 in the amount of $15,000 in federal funds with no required match. Grant funding can be used on anything directly benefiting ICAC personnel, including laptops, licenses, travel and training.
Auditor's Office Action
Grant award has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. ICAC Interlocal agreement with the DA for FY 2024 in the amount of $15,000 with no matching funds required. Grant period is from 10/1/2023 through 9/30/2024. Grant funds to be used in the area of on line child abuse cases.
