Department Action

The Animal Services Division is respectfully requesting Commissioners Court approval to apply for a grant from ASPCA in the amount $5,954.50. If awarded, the program will collaborate with Subaru to support pets in need throughout Subaru Loves Pets Month (October 1- October 31, 2024). The goal of the program will be to help save lives, celebrate our shared love for pets and raise awareness through community outreach.

Budget Department Action

FY 2025 ASPCA Subaru Grant in the amount of $5,954.50 in local funds with no county match required. Funding will cover services to 100 community animals for vaccination and microchip implantation as well as provide adoption. The grant period is September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant to provide services to community pets for vaccination as well as provide adoption. The program will collaborate with Subaru to support pets in need through two events. Grant in the amount of $5,954.50. Private funding with no county match required.
