Department Action

The Collin County Municipal Utility District #4 is reconstructing portions of CR 439 and CR 441 (South of Princeton, Texas) that are adjacent to the Ranger Crossing Developments. Portions of the roadways fall outside of the MUDs responsibility. The district has agreed to construct the portions that are outside their responsibility with participation from the County. The attached Exhibit A outlines the portions that are the MUDs financial responsibility and the portions that are the County’s. The County’s responsibility on CR 439 will be $103,093.61 and for CR 441, we will owe $38,957.78 for a total of $142,051.39. The costs were based on actual contractor bid prices.

The agreement stipulates if the actual costs come in higher than the bid amounts, the County has the ability to review the increase and only pay the County’s proportional amount of the actual costs. The County’s attorneys have reviewed the agreement and are acceptable to the language.

ACTION
We request Commissioners Court consideration of the attached Cost Agreement between Collin County and Collin County Municipal Utility District #4 regarding participation in the reconstruction of portions of CR 439 and CR 441 in the amount of $142,051.39.
