Respectfully requesting approval to apply for FY25 UASI Elections Security Grant. This grant will partially fund salary & benefits for one full-time Research Analyst within the Sheriff's Office Fusion Center. The performance period is for one year, beginning September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025, and the amount is $40,115.10 with no county match required.

FY25 UASI Elections Security Grant is noted to partially fund salary & benefits for one full-time Research Analyst (00300192) within the Sheriff's Office Fusion Center from September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. The amount of this grant, $40,115.10, is sufficient to cover the 30% of the estimated cost of salary and fringe for this position.

Budget Department Action

FY 2024 UASI Elections Security Grant in the amount of $40,115.10 in federal funds with no county match required. Grant partially funds one full-time Research Analyst (#300192). Remaining salary is covered through two other grants making this position 100% funded. Grant term is September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant to fund partial salary and benefits for full time Sheriff's Office Research Analyst for the Fusion Center that will oversee elections security (the balance of salary and fringe are paid on 2 other grants). This will be a 1-year grant period. Grant period is September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. Grant funds in the amount of $40,115.10 with no county match required.
