Attached is the FY 2021/2022 Interlocal Application for DSHS Immunizations Program funds for grant period 9/1/2021-6/30/2022 in the amount of $62,602.00 and from 4/1/2021-8/31/2021 in the amount of $72,848.00. Total Award $135,450

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention awarded Texas funding for COVID-19 vaccination planning and implementation activities. Local Health Department awards are “one-time” only and activities should not incur future reoccurring costs beyond June 30, 2022.

Budget Department Action

DSHS FY2021/2022 Immunizations Program Grant additional funding in the amounts of $62,602 and $72,848 respectively for COVID-19 vaccine activities. No county match required. Grant funding includes salary and benefits for one (1) new registered nurse position as well as travel, supplies, equipment and cell phone. FY2021 Grant period is April 1, 2021 through August 31, 2021 followed by FY2022 Grant period of September 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022.

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant funds for COVID-19 vaccine activities. State funds in the amount $62,602 for FY 2021 with no county match required. Grant period is 4/1/2021 through 8/31/2022 for the FY 2021 funding.
State funds in the amount $72,848 for FY 2022 with no county match required. Grant period is 9/1/2021 through 6/30/2022 for the FY 2022 funding.
