Department Action

The Texas Department of Transportation has responded to the request of the County and citizens to widen the existing US 380 corridor from a 4-lane to a 6-lane roadway from Airport Dr. in McKinney, TX to 4^th Street in Princeton, TX.

They have now developed plans and are acquiring the ROW necessary to build the improvements. As is always TxDOT’s policy, they are requiring Collin County provide 10% of the cost of the ROW and utility relocations associated with unincorporated parcels. For this project that amounts to $181,400.70

Action Requested: It is requested that the Commissioners Court:

approve the attached agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation,
authorize the County Judge to execute the agreement,
authorize the creation of a ROW account in the Project Code RI070048,
authorize a budget adjustment to move funding in the amount of $181,400.70 from the account RI070048-4213-750300013-809250 (consultants) to the newly created ROW account RI070048-4213-750300013-809682 (ROW,)
authorize payment of $181,400.70, from account RI070048-4213-750300013-809682 when the agreement is fully executed.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of an Agreement to Contribute Right of Way Funds (Fixed Price) for certain highway improvements on Highway US 380 from Airport Dr. to 4th St.. Further, authorize the County Judge to execute same. MD

Collin County's participation is a NTE $181,400.70.
