Sheriff's Office requests approval to accept funds through the General Victim Assistance Grant, totaling $75,197.00 in funding. Grant will fund one existing Victim Assistance Coordinator's salary and benefits, as well as training. Performance period is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

Budget Department Action

FY 2022 General Victim Assistance Grant in the amount of $75,197 in federal funds with a required county match of $21,311 for a program total of $96,508. The match is in-kind utilizing Sheriffs Office personnel time. Grant will fund salary and benefits for an existing Victim Assistance Coordinator. Grant funding is expected to be short by approximately $400 for FY 2022 and any shortage will have to be covered by the departments' personnel savings. Grant period is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

Grant award in the amount of $75,197 in federal funds with a required county match of $21,311. Grant period is October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. Grant application had been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached.
