Department Action

This is to request Commissioners Court acceptance of the no-cost amendment to the DIS/STD-HIV grant contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

This DSHS amendment increases the original award amount by $352,159.00 and extends the grant term to end on 12/31/2022. The purpose of the grant is to support the Health Department’s STD disease investigation & surveillance duties. No county match is required.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to accept the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) STD/HIV-DIS grant to increase the original award amount by $352,159, extend contract term to December 31, 2022 and authorize Board President to execute same. gz

HR and/or IT Action

Amendment to the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) DIS/STD-HIV Grant (HHS001120300006) in the amount of $352,159 will extend funding for four (4) existing Epidemiologist grant positions (no increase to headcount) funded at 100% and one (1) existing Program Coordinator grant position (no increase to headcount). Revised budget attachment B-1 is sufficient to cover these positions for the 10 months since it includes $280,180 for personnel and $123,363 for fringe benefits totaling $403,543 for the contract term of March 17, 2022 through December 31, 2022.

Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. HHS001120300006 STD/HIV-DIS Grant to increase contract amount by $352,159 and extend the contract term through December 31, 2022. Grant funds to cover four (4) existing Epidemiologist grant positions (no increase to headcount) funded at 100% and one (1) existing Program Coordinator grant position (no increase to headcount) as well as travel, supplies, and other program costs. Auditor's Office Action

No cost grant extension. Extends the grant period another four months to make the contract term March 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022.
