FYI to Commissioners Court for contract change order No. 8 to Ratcliff Constructors for IFB 2021-239, Construction, Collin County Adult Detention Facility, Phase 1. This change order was previously approved by the County Administrator per Court Order No. 2007-180-02-27.
PCO 21 – Engineer requested credit to remove sanitary sewer manhole. Lateral sanitary feeders shown in as-builts do not exist. ($6,952.00)
PCO 22 – Owner requested Credit for bond charges on previous change orders. Recent information shows to add bond costs only when the original contract value is exceeded. We will review and add bond costs at the end of the project. ($2,477.61)
PCO 23 – Owner requested Add to install security grating at the end of a storm drain to prevent unwanted access to the secure area. $1,649.91
PCO 24 – Owner requested credit to change trench drains in inmate showers to floor drains. ($5,721.57)
PCO 26 – Contractor requested credit to reduce planned conduit size to match exiting condition and connection point. ($6,486.49)
PCO 28 – Owner requested credit to remove badge reader cards from the contract. Owner required chain of custody and background checks from the contractor. The contractor could not comply with these requirements. ($4,000.00)
