Department Action

The District Attorney’s office & Information Technology is requesting Commissioner Court to authorize $75,000 to increase the storage utilized with the digital evidence management system and approve a budget amendment for the same. The funding will purchase additional primary data storage to allow the District Attorney to continue accepting digital evidence submissions from 90 local law enforcement agencies, ISD PD's and 6 internal County departments which share the information during the discovery process. This is critical to maintain digital evidence from many A/V resources. Body worn camera video and cell phone video is some of the primary reason for this increase. This will maintain them through the end of December 2023.

The funding for the request will be taken from a carry-forward storage request, project code BDN06102-0001-060190009-809002 and account code 0001-06019-0009-41-40-0000-809002.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of Amendment No. 2 to RFP 2018-048 Enterprise Evidence Management System with Foray Technologies, LLC., to add additional system storage starting year 3 three (3) maintenance period. Further, authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute same. HA
