Department Action

The Engineering Department requests the approval of Amendment No. 3 to the Engineering Services Agreement (ESA) with BGE, Inc. Amendment No. 3 will cover the additional work necessary to comply with the mitigation requirements per the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) due to a SCS lake easement encroachment, subsurface utility exploration (SUE) for a 2” waterline that had no as-built information and right-of-way (ROW) staking for utility relocations.

The amendment is adding $165,608.00 to the contract, to cover the additional design efforts. Currently, there is $0.62 available in in the consulting account. Therefore, this amendment will need a budget adjustment to move funds from within the project to the consulting account.

Action Requested: It is requested that Commissioners Court approve the attached Amendment No. 3 and a budget adjustment to transfer $165,608.00

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of Amendment No. 3 to the contract with BGE, Inc., AGR 2020-049, Collin County Outer Loop Segment 3A Access Road PS&E from FM 2478 to US75, for additional work necessary to comply with the mitigation requirements per the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) due to a SCS lake easement encroachment, subsurface utility exploration (SUE) for a 2” waterline that had no as-built information, and right-of-way (ROW) staking for utility relocations for the amount of $165,608.00, resulting in a revised total contract amount of $2,565,581.22. Further, authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute same. MD

Budget Adjustment included in the amount of $165,608 to move the funds to the appropriate expenditure account within the project. New contract total is $2,565,581.22. 2018 Bond Fund (4215).
