Respectfully request approval to apply for te FY 2024 UASI Elections Security Grant. This grant will partially fund one full time Research Analyst within the Fusion Center.

HR and/or IT Action

FY 2023 UASI Grant (1 of 3 grants in total for UASI) covers a portion of the salary and fringe for one (1) existing Research Analyst positions. No increase to headcount. The combined amount of grant funding from the all three (3) UASI grants is sufficient to cover 100% of the estimated cost of salary and fringe for one position. All of the UASI grants must be fully funded and received to fully fund one (1) position at 100%. Grant term is 9/1/2023 - 8/31/2024.

Budget Department Action

FY 2023 UASI Elections Security Grant in the amount of $26,351 in federal funds with no county match required. Grant partially funds (1) existing full time Research Analysts in the Fusion Center (no increase to headcount). Remaining salary and benefits of this employee are covered on other grants making it 100% funded. Grant term is September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant to fund salary and benefits for full time Sheriff's Office Research Analyst for the Fusion Center that will oversee DVE and functions related to elections security. This will be a 1-year grant period. Grant period is September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024. Grant funds in the amount of $26,351 with no county match required.
