Department Action

In accordance with Local Government Code Sec. 351.0415(c), we are respectfully requesting approval to use the Collin County Sheriff’s Office Fund 734 – Inmate Commissary Account Number 700020134 for the following purposes.

Purchase of (350) inmate mattresses from ICS Jail Supplies in the total amount of $17,850.00. An expenditure of $12,393.50 to Texas Department of Criminal Justice was previously approved by Court Order 2023-275-04-03, however mattress prices increased from the original supplier’s estimate so we are requesting an amended approval amount based on the new quotes obtained. The current contract (2019-188) pricing with Bob Barker totaled $22,211.00 and the new quote from Texas Department of Criminal Justice Texas Correctional Industries totaled $24,062.50.

Total requesting to disperse from the Collin County Sheriff’s Office Fund 734 – Inmate Commissary Account Number 700020134 is $17,850.00.
