Department Action

The Collin County Information Technology department requests approval for the acceptance of donated equipment from GTS. By accepting this donation from GTS, the county will not only increase the amount of storage for server backups but also have the opportunity to try new technologies for future consideration.

This equipment will include a server, 320TB of raw storage space, and a 3 year Veeam Solution license. The value of the donated equipment is $97,951.00. The equipment comes with three years of support. Following the three years, the county may opt to purchase annual maintenance for $1,000 per year. Collin County can keep this equipment indefinitely at no charge to the county, even if the maintenance is not renewed after year three.
