Department Action

Attached is the FY 2021-2023 application for DSHS Public Health Workforce funds for a grant period that will begin upon contract execution through June 30, 2023. Total funds for this grant are $1,250,000.00.

I respectfully request that you approve this new funding for expanding Collin County’s public health workforce to meet the growing Health Care departmental needs.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to accept the Public Health Workforce Grant from the Texas Department of State Health Services and authorize County Judge to execute same. AP

HR and/or IT Action

IT worked with HC on physical area and requirements for the County network.

Budget Department Action

FY2021-2023 Public Health Workforce Grant Award in the amount of $1,250,000 with no county match required. Grant includes seven (7) personnel, training and travel, supplies, computer equipment and wireless service devices. Grant term effective upon execution through June 30, 2023.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application had been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant funding for the Public Health Workforce Grant in the amount of $1,250,000 with no county match required. Grant funds 7 positions at 100% plus equipment. Grant period is Upon execution through 6/30/2023.
