Department Action

On October 18, 2021, Commissioners Court authorized staff to negotiate the sale of surplus right of way (0.090 acres) adjacent to Old McKinney Rd. located in Farmersville, TX (see attached Court Order 2021-1038-10-18). The sale will be to the current owner of the surrounding land, 1^st Quick Check Convenience Stores, Inc.

The buyer is willing to pay the amount identified by the appraisal as the value of the land. That agreed amount is $9,000 (approximately $2.29/sq-ft). The purchaser is responsible for all closing costs and other fees associated with this transaction.

ACTION REQUESTED:
It is requested that the Commissioners Court approve the sale of surplus right of way (0.090 acres) adjacent to Old McKinney Rd. in Farmersville, TX to 1st Quick Check Convenience Stores, Inc. for the value as shown in the appraisal and to authorize Bill Bilyeu, County Administrator, to execute any documents required for this transaction on the County’s behalf.
