Department Action

The Juvenile Probation Department, acting through the Collin County Juvenile Board has executed a budget amendment to pay for mandatory medical services for youth who are lawfully detained in the juvenile detention center. The budget amendment to meet operational needs for the juvenile medical services is $77,868.00. The increased cost for medical services are pursuant to an increase in the staffing matrix for the juvenile facility to meet the immediate and growing medical needs of detained youth. Funding to cover this cost is being taken from the department’s established operational budget.
