Department Action

This is to request Commissioners Court for the application & acceptance of the no-cost amendment to the DIS/STD-HIV grant contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). This amendment increases the contract amount by $529,604.00 for Calendar Year 2022 and by $704,317.00 for Calendar Year 2023, extends the contract term to December 31, 2023. Total funds for this grant amendment are $1,938,238.00.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to accept the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) no-cost amendment to the DIS/STD-HIV grant contract to increase contract award amount per attached documentation and authorize County Judge to execute same. gz

HR and/or IT Action

Amendment to grant to increase the FY2022 contract by $529,604.00 and add $704,604.00 to the FY2023 contract. Grant funds to cover four (4) existing Epidemiologist grant positions (no increase to headcount) funded at 100% and one (1) existing Program Coordinator grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 100% as well as travel, supplies, and other program costs. Salary is budgeted at $349,428 with fringe in the amount of $150,883. This amount is sufficient for the existing staff using their 10/1/2022 salary amounts. Grant period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. (2108)-HC Grants Fund.

Auditor's Office Action

Original contract was reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant contract amendment to add $529,604 to calendar year 2022, for the period 3/12/2022 through 12/31/2022. Contract also adds $704,317 to calendar year 2023 for the period 1/1/2023 through 12/31/2023. Contract ends on 12/31/2023. Future contract amendments will occur to extend funding out to 2025.
