Attached is the FY 2024 Hazards renewal grant application for one year grant period 7/1/2023-6/30/2024 in the amount of $562,786 in the amount of level funding to support the county’s Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) activities. The County match required for this funding is $56,278.60 and will be met by using existing staff members’ salaries and fringe.

PHEP Grant for period 7/1/2023-6/30/2024 for 7 existing positions and personnel. With the percentage of FTE indicated on the budget, the total estimated cost of salary and fringe for these 7 is $546,359.50. Requested cost for personnel on budget is sufficient to cover the estimated total at the percentages indicated.

FY 2024 DSHS Hazards/Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Grant Application in the amount of $562,786 with a required 10% in-kind match of $56,278.60 from existing county personnel. The total budget, including projected in-kind match, is $619,064.60. Grant application for three (3) existing grant positions (no increase to headcount) funded at 100%, one (1) existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 85% (15% funded by CRI Grant) and three (3) existing county positions (no increase to headcount) partially funded at 10%/10%/70% as well as training, travel, supplies and other costs including cell phones. Grant period is July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.
Auditor's Office Action
Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Public health emergency preparedness (PHEP) - including epidemiology. PHEP grant is meant to support PHEP activities in Collin County such as pandemics including COVID-19 response activities. Federal funds in the amount of $562,786 with a required county in-kind match of $56,279. Grant period is July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.
