Attached for approval is the FY 2024 Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) grant application renewal for the one year grant period 7/1/2023-6/30/2024 in the amount of $133,431 of level funding.  The County match required for this funding is $13,343.10 and will be met by using existing Collin County staff members’ salary and fringe in addition to Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) volunteer hours.

Request Health Care Foundation approval and any action required to apply for the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) Grant from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for $133,431 with a required in-kind match of $13,343.10. The grant period is July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.  gz
HR and/or IT Action
Per the attached budget, the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) FY 2024 will fund 2 existing positions and personnel at the percentage of FTE indicated on the budget. Based on this percentage and current salaries, the estimated total for salary and fringe for these 2 personnel is $122,684.40. The amount budgeted exceeds the estimated total and is therefore sufficient for the estimated cost.            
 
Budget Department Action
FY 2024 DSHS Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) Grant Application in the amount of $133,431 in federal funds with a required in-kind match of $13,343.10 from existing personnel and MRC volunteer hours. The total budget, including projected in-kind match, is $146,774.10. Grant funds to cover one (1) existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 100% and one (1) existing grant position (no increase to headcount) funded at 15% (85% funded by PHEP Grant) as well as training, travel, supplies and other program costs. Grant period is July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.
Auditor's Office Action
Grant application has been reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Grant to ensure ability to receive and dispense medical countermeasures as demonstrated through assessment by the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS)/Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) programs. Federal funds in the amount of $133,431 with a required in-kind match of $13,343.10. Grant period is July 1 2023 through June 30, 2024.
