Department Action

Public Works requests Commissioners Court approval for a budget amendment in the amount of $23,635 to cover the unanticipated cost increase for three (3) 2023 Ford F350 flatbed trucks for Road and Bridge approved in the 2023 Budget. Further, if this request for additional funding is approved, Public Works recommends the award of two (2) Ford F350 trucks to Silsbee Ford and (1) one Ford F350 truck to Caldwell Country Ford.

Purchasing Department Action

Requests Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to award Contract No. 2023-084, Vehicles, 1 Ton Flatbed Trucks, to Silsbee Ford, Inc. through their TIPS USA cooperative Contract No. 210907 for the purchase of two (2) 2023 Ford F350 flatbed trucks for Road and Bridge for the amount of $157,540.10, and to Caldwell County Ford, LLC d/b/a Rockdale Country Ford through their Buyboard cooperative Contract No. 601-19 for the purchase of one (1) 2023 Ford F350 flatbed truck for Road & Bridge for the amount of $79,218.14. MD

Silsbee Ford, Inc. was unable to provide all three (3) trucks due to a dealer allotment agreement with Ford that only allowed them to have two (2) trucks available for purchase.
