The Collin County Information Technology department requests approval of a budget amendment to fund the purchase of new Constable body cameras and associated equipment and cloud services. The total year one expenditure is $47,060, with $42,165 annual subscription fees for years two through five.

Budget amendment request is to move $27,165.84 from TI03JUS-4401-060090011-809901 and $2,573 from TI03JUS-4401-060090011-809004 to TI03JUS-4401-060090011-798902. Remaining year one funding is available in TI03JUS-4401-060090011-809004.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval to award Coop Contract No. 2023-287 Constable Body Cameras through DIR Cooperative Contract No. DIR-TSO-4101 to Motorola Solutions, Inc. The purchase includes all upfront hardware, accessories, and implementation plus subscription fee for the first year at $47,060.00 (6/6/2023-6/7/2024), and to lock into the rates for 4 additional 1-year subscription renewals at $42,165.00 each year. The subscription after year 1 will automatically renew for subsequent terms of one (1) year each unless a party provides at least ninety (90) days' notice of its intention not to renew. ED

Funds available in the amount of $47,060 in the TI03JUS project for the award of Coop Contract 2023-287, Constable Body Cameras. New cameras will increase the annual maintenance cost by $23,355 in Non-Departmental starting in FY 2024. Budget Adjustment included in the amount of $29,738.84 to move funds to the appropriate expenditure account. 2003 Tax Notes (4401).

Funds available in the Tax Notes 2006 Fund (4401) - TI03JUS project. Budget amendment will be processed upon approval.
