Department Action

Franchise Utility Relocations along the Frontier Parkway project corridor remains on-going and incomplete. This Engineer's Amendment No. 11 will require adjustments to the design contract to provide additional compensation to BHC for the continuing scope of services for their necessary efforts to coordinate and review franchise utility relocation plans, attending utility coordination meetings with the City of Celina and Town of Prosper, and additional field meetings with the various franchise utilities to coordinate relocation efforts. The net change is adding $15,000.00 to the contract, to cover the ongoing and continued efforts, revising the total contract amount to $2,603,854.00.

Action Requested: It is recommended that Commissioner’s Court approve Collin County Amendment No. 10 (Engineer's Amendment No. 11) for the Frontier Parkway Engineering Services Agreement with Birkhoff, Hendricks and Carter.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of Contract Amendment No. 10 to the contract with Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter, LLP, AGR 2016-229, Frontier Parkway Improvements, to add engineer's Amendment No. 11 for additional compensation for franchise utility relocations in the amount of $15,000.00 for a new total contract amount of $2,603,854.00. Further, authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute same. MD
