Commissioners Court granted the Engineering Department staff permission to begin negotiations with LJA for Schematic Design and Environmental Services to include Alignment Studies and Right of Way Mapping for the Collin County Northeast Freeway Project (Limits from: SH 121 to the future US 380 Freeway Bypass).
Staff has met with LJA to define the scope of work for the project and have negotiated the best price of $8,565,923.25. We estimate the tasks will take approximately 2 years to complete.
Funds are available in the following accounts:
- $5,000,000.00 in RI23006-4036-750300013-809250
- a budget adjustment is needed in order to allocate the remaining $3,565,923.25 that is needed to fund the contract.
ACTION REQUESTED: It is requested that the Commissioners Court
- authorize entering into a professional services engineering agreement with LJA Engineering in accordance with the attached scope and fee
- approve a budget adjustment to move
$3,565,923.25 from 4024-00000-0000-00-00-0000-300251- to RI23006-4024-750300013-809250
