Department Action

Requesting Commissioner's Court consent for a Budget Adjustment in the amount of $150,000 for Postage expenses. Additional funds needed to cover expenses for the remainder of FY 2016 The two main contributors are increased Elections mailings as well as changes by the State Department in the requirements for passport mailings. Passports used to be boxed in one flat rate box per location each day and now are required to be packed with no more than 10 per box causing the number of boxes per day to increase by 7-10 per passport location.
