Department Action

This project consists of replacing a bridge at FM 981 and Bear Creek and Bear Creek Relief. The bridge replacement project is scheduled to be let in February 2018 2015.

The agreement stipulates TxDOT will be responsible for acquiring the right-of-way. TxDOT will be responsible for 90% of the right-of-way and all costs and fees associated with the right-of-way acquisition. Collin County will be responsible for 10% of the right-of-way and associated costs.

TxDOT estimates the cost of right-of-way will be $387,524. The county’s 10% share will be $38,752.

We request the following budget adjustment to move available funds from the 2003 Discretionary account 03-115 to a NEW 2003 Bond Project 03-099;

ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court:
1) Approve the Agreement to Contribute Right of Way Funds (FIXED PRICE) for the FM 981 at Bear Creek and Bear Creek Relief, and
2) Approve the associated budget adjustment and creation of the New Project Code #03-099
3) Allow Judge Keith Self to sign the agreement.

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval of an Agreement to Contribute Right of Way Funds (Fixed Price) concerning improvements to FM 981 at Bear Creek and Bear Creek Relief; further authorize the County Judge to execute same. md

Total estimate cost is $387,524.00 with Collin County's 10% contribution being $38,752.00.
