Department Action

The Collin County District Attorney will expend $500 from the District Attorney State Forfeiture Fund to benefit the Collin County Veterans Court. This expenditure is authorized by Texas law. Article 59.06(d-4)(6) of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure authorizes expenditures made for “crime prevention and treatment programs….” The Collin County Veterans Court fits within the plain words of the statute.
