Department Action

As part of their Phase 2 scope and fee for the above referenced project, Halff Associates included preparation of a formal Environmental Assessment (EA) document typically required by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) for projects of this type.

Upon review of data provided to them by Halff, the USACE has determined that a formal EA document will not be required. By not having to prepare a formal EA the need and effort required to address other federal agency comments is also eliminated.

As such, we are requesting approval of the attached Scope of Work Modification to incorporate specific project tasks that can be accomplished with no fee increase.

FYI notification of contract amendment No. 1 to the contract with Halff Associates, Inc., AGR 2013-276, Engineering Services for the Extension of Park Blvd. from FM 2514 east to SH 78 in Wylie, to remove the environmental assessment document from phase II and add additional schematic design at no additional cost to the County. md
