Department Action
This is a request for a budget amendment to move funds from contingencies to pay a portion of the salary supplement for the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals Court Justices. An amount of $80,116 was placed in contingencies in the adopted budget for this purpose. Dallas County has paid this entire supplement in prior years; however, they are requesting that the other counties in the 5th Circuit pick up the supplement because they provide the facility, the utilities and maintenance. It is also my understanding that Dallas County is planning on incurring the cost of renovating the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals facility.
