Department Action

We are currently in the process of purchasing right-of-way required for the extension of the DNT southbound lane frontage road. The design plans for the DNT Extension are thirty-percent complete and have identified the need for additional right-of-way and drainage easements to be acquired in order to construct the roadway. Also an additional $900,000 was awarded during special commissioners (condemnation) hearing for one parcel creating a shortage within our original budget. A budget adjustment is necessary to continue with this project.

Budgeted funds available in Project 070050 for a budget adjustment into Project 03113 for the purchase of additional right of way as well as a shortfall in the original budget due to additional funding awarded in condemnation hearings. Bond Fund (440).
