Department Action

Requesting acceptance of an extension to the contract for the North Texas
Regional Veterans Court Program Manager. Jennifer Smith was hired to fill this position
and Collin County entered into a contract with her in January 2016. The amendment to
her contract will extend the current contract end date from December 31, 2016 to June
30, 2017. The salary will remain the same, but the pay period will change from biweekly
to weekly. This contract extension will align her contract period with the new
dates of the grant awarded by the Texas Veterans Commission.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding the approval of Amendment No. 1, Personal Services Agreement 2016-140 with Jennifer Smith for a Program Manager to oversee and administer the Veterans Court Program, to extend the contract at the same terms and conditions for the period of January 1, 2017 through June 30, 2017 and authorize the Purchasing Agent to finalize and execute same. Total for renewal of the agreement will be $31,500.00. go

Amendment No. 1 to the Personal Services Agreement with Jennifer Smith for a Program Manager to oversee and administer the Veterans Court Program. Amendment to extend the contract at the same terms and conditions for the period of January 1, 2017 through June 30, 2017 as well as change pay schedule from semi-monthly to weekly. Annual contract amount is $63,000. Total payment through June 30, 2017 remains at $31,500. Funding to be provided through Texas Veterans Court Grant Extension on Court December 12, 2016.
