We request Commissioners Court consider approval of the Agreement to Contribute Right of Way Funds (Fixed Price) for SH121 from the Collin County Outer Loop to CR 635. (Agreement attached)

The project scope includes reconstructing and widening the roadway from a 2-lane to a 4-lane rural divided roadway. Right-of-way acquisition to start in late 2017 and construction to start in late 2020.

The agreement stipulates TxDOT will be responsible for acquiring the right-of-way. 96 parcels will be acquired. TxDOT will be responsible for 90% of the right-of-way and utility reimbursement costs. Collin County will be responsible for 10%.

TxDOT estimates the cost of right-of-way and utilities reimbursements to be $39,979,681. The county’s 10% share will be $3,997,969

Funding is available in the Project Code #07-00-51 – SH 121 from Outer Loop to SH 160. This funding was allocated to this project in 2015.

ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court approve the Agreement to Contribute Right of Way Funds (Fixed Price) for SH121 from the Collin County Outer Loop to CR 635 and allow Judge Keith Self to sign the agreement.

We will be available to respond to Commissioners Court questions and comments.
