| Department Action |
The design is complete and construction will begin in March or April 2017. The projects include paving, signal, drainage, utility and pedestrian improvements. Details of the projects are below:
• Ohio/McDermott
o McDermott Road
? Lengthen eastbound and westbound left turn lanes at Ohio Drive
? Add westbound right turn lane at Ohio
o Ohio Drive
? Add left turn lane (dual lefts) on northbound and southbound left turn lanes at McDermott Road
? Add northbound right turn lane at McDermott
• Alma Drive at 15th Street
o Lengthening eastbound and westbound left turn lanes
• Plano Pkwy East of K Ave
o Addition of left turn lane in existing median for eastbound traffic turning north into commercial development.
The City estimates the total costs of the project to be $1,400,000. The City has remaining funds from 2003 Bond Projects that they wish to reallocate to this project. The county’s share will total $686,536 and come from the following reallocations:
#03-052, Communications Parkway from Falls Rd. to Spring Creek Parkway (project complete) - $154,153
#03-061, Headquarter Dr from Parkwood Blvd. to Preston Rd (project complete) - $90,000
#03-049, Hedgcoxe from Custer rd. to Alma Dr. (project complete) - $94,308
#03-059, Independence from McDermott Rd to SH 121 (project complete) - $107,498
#03-054, McDermott Rd from Coit Rd to Custer Rd (project complete) - $21,283
#03-050, Parker Rd from K Ave to P Ave (project complete) - $131,144
#03-128, for Plano Pkwy from Dallas North Tollway to Park Blvd (project complete) - $88,150
TOTAL = $686,536
ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court consider approval of the Interlocal Agreement between Collin County and the City of Plano for Intersection Improvements at: Ohio Drive and McDermott Road, Alma Drive and 15th Street and Plano Parkway East of K Ave.; NEW 2003 Bond Project #03-120; Plano CIP #6336; Collin County participation $686,536 and authorize Judge Keith Self to sign the ILA.
