Information

Department Action

The projects are under construction with franchise utilities being relocated now. Expected completion date is August 2017. The projects include paving, signals, drainage, utility and pedestrian improvements. Details of the projects are below:

Coit at 15th:
-Widening the east side of the road to shift median further east and provide an additional left turn lane for southbound to eastbound traffic.

Custer at Plano Parkway:
-Construct dedicated right turn lane for westbound to northbound traffic
-Construct additional left turn lane for northbound to westbound traffic
-Construct additional left turn lane for southbound to eastbound traffic

The City estimates the total costs of the project to be $1,400,000. The county’s share will total $700,000 and come from the following sources:

#07-072; International Parkway from Plano Parkway to Midway - $200,000
#03-065; Windhaven Parkway from west City Limits to Spring Creek Parkway- $500,000
TOTAL = $700,000

ACTION:
We request Commissioners Court consider approval of the Interlocal Agreement between Collin County and the City of Plano for Intersection Improvements at Coit Rd and 15th Street, Custer Rd. and Plano Parkway – 2007 Bond Project #07-058, Collin County participation $700,000 and authorize Judge Keith Self to sign the ILA.

Request Commissioners Court consideration and any action regarding approval of the Interlocal Agreement between Collin County and the City of Plano concerning the design and construction of intersection improvements at Coit Rd and 15th Street and Custer Rd. and Plano Parkway, 2007 Bond Project #07-058; further authorize the County Judge to execute same. md

Collin County participation is a NTE $700,000.00.
