Department Action

This is to request Commissioners' Court acceptance for the FY2018 Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) in the amount of $545,327. The contract number is #537-18-0128-00001. A 10% match is required for all funds spent. This will be achieved through in-kind support from Collin County staff and MRC volunteer hours ($54,515). Total budget, including projected matching, is $599,842.

Request Commissioners' Court acceptance of the FY2018 Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and authorize County Judge to execute same. The contract number is #537-18-0128-00001. A 10% match is required for all funds spent. This will be achieved through in-kind support from Collin County staff and MRC volunteer hours. sh

FY 2018 Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) in the amount of $545,327. The contract number is 537-18-0128-00001. A required 10% in-kind match of $54,515 to be met through existing county personnel and MRC volunteer hours. The total budget, including projected matching, is $599,842. Grant funding includes personnel and benefits as well as training and travel, supplies, software and cell phones. County could be responsible for any continued maintenance after the grant term expires. Grant period is July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.

Auditor's Office Action

Grant application had ben reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Public health emergency preparedness - including epidemiology, health needs during evacuations, sheltering-in-place, shelters, pandemic flu response, mass fatality, and SNS response. Federal funds in the amount of $545,327 with a required in kind match of $54,515.
