Department Action

This is to request Commissioners' court acceptance for the FY 2018 Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) in the amount of $128,650. The contract number is 537-18-0141-00001. A 10% match is required for all funds spent. This will be achieved through in-kind support from Collin County staff and MRC volunteer hours ($12,865). Total budget, including projected matching, is $141,515.

Request Commissioners' Court court consideration and any action regarding acceptance of the FY2018 Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and authorize County Judge to execute same. The contract number is 537-18-0141-00001. A 10% match is required for all funds spent. This will be achieved through in-kind support from Collin County staff and MRC volunteer hours. sh

Budget Department Action

FY 2018 Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) contract with the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) in the amount of $128,650. The contract number is 537-18-0141-00001. A required 10% in-kind match of $12,862 to be met through existing personnel and MRC volunteer hours. The total budget, including projected matching, is $141,512. Grant funding includes personnel and benefits as well as training and travel, supplies, and cell-phones. No additional equipment required. County could be responsible for any continued maintenance after the grant term expires. Grant period is July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.

Auditor's Office Action

Application had been reviewed by grant review committee as per attached. Ensure ability to receive and dispense medical countermeasures as demonstrated through assessment by the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS)/Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) programs. Federal funds in the amount of $128,650 with a required in-kind match of $12,862.
