Department Action

Over the past several years the Fire Marshal’s Office has partnered with members of the Princeton Fire Department to deliver fire safety training to various elementary students throughout Collin County. The training is in the form of a skit which is authored to mirror the NFPA’s fire safety topic of the year. The delivery of this skit coincides each year with the National Fire Prevention Week.
The show has become so successful that last year it was delivered to 11 elementary schools which covered approximately 6,000 students. Until now the Collin County Fire Marshal’s Office has taken the lead in scheduling and delivering the program. Princeton Fire Department has expanded and has requested to take over the lead for the program. I am asking the court to consider and approve the donation of the fire prevention materials listed in Exhibit A of the Letter Agreement with the City of Princeton.

Purchasing Department Action

Request Commissioners' court consideration and any action regarding the authorization to approve the donation of the fire prevention materials listed in Exhibit A of the Letter Agreement with the City of Princeton, and further authorize Purchasing Agent to execute. See attached memo.
