Department Action

The Collin County Information Technology department is requesting Commissioner Court approval to award the procurement of equipment and professional services of a Cisco UCS Server Chassis solution to the best evaluated offeror. The solution proposed is the lowest cost vendor for the selected solution. Existing software contracts, for the Microsoft operating system and VMware server virtualization software, will provide the required software licenses.

This request is budgeted as part of the FY17 budget under project P06006. The Cisco UCS server platforms are the current county standard.
