Department Action

The Engineering Department requests Commissioners Courts authorization to award a contract in the amount of $436,960.15 to Ashlar Contracting Company for construction of bridge on County Road 613 at Groves Creek. Ashlar is the lowest qualified bidder based on the evaluations of the bids and contractor qualifications.

It is anticipated that construction will begin after the first of the year with a 120 calendar day construction timeframe.

The following budget amendment is also requested to move the required funding to the appropriate construction account:

FROM: 439-7530-680.96-82 / 07-00-42 (ROW) - $31,366
TO: 439-7530-680.92-85 / 07-00-42 (Bridge Construction)

ACTION:
Request authorization to award a contract in the amount of $436,960.15 to Ashlar Contracting Company, low bidder, for construction of a bridge on County Road 613 at Groves Creek and approve the above referenced budget amendment.
