Department Action

The Collin County Sheriff's Office respectfully requests Commissioner’s Court approval of the increased funds set aside for OT reimbursement regarding the U.S. Marshals Task Force. The amount was increased from $13,488 to $18,000. The intent of the joint effort is to investigate and apprehend local, state and federal fugitives who have warrants for their arrests, thereby improving public safety and reducing violent crime.

Request Commissioners' Court consideration and any action regarding approval of acceptance for grant from U.S. Marshals Services for the Violent Offender Task Force for the period October 2, 2017 through September 30, 2018 and authorize County Judge to execute the Joint Law Enforcement Task Force Obligation . sh

US Marshall Service – Violent Offender Task Force Federal Grant funds to be reimbursed in the amount of $18,000 to be used for overtime related to the investigations and capture of local state and federal fugitives who have warrants for arrests. No county match required.

Agreement reviewed by the grant review committee as per attached. Federal grant funds in the amount of $18,000 with no county match required. Grant period is from 10/2/17 through 9/30/18. Intent of this joint MOU is to investigate and apprehend local, state and federal fugitives who have warrants for their arrests, thereby improving public safety and reducing violent crime.
