Request Commissioners' Court consideration and approval for discretionary exemption to the bid process per VTCA LGC 262.024 (a)(2) "an item necessary to preserve or protect the public health or safety of the residents of the county." It has been determined by the Sheriff's Office that a new door is needed at the Bonding out area of the Adult Detention Center. This door will create a physical barrier where one currently does not exist. This request is a result of the inmate escape on September 27, 2017. We received a quote of $51,319.00 from Argyle Security to preform the work in the Sheriff's office request.
