Department Action

The Collin County Information Technology department, on behalf of the Office of the Sheriff, recommends the award of Tyler Executime software as the third phase of the Access Control and Time Collection project to provide 24-hour shift scheduling functions. Funding is available under project R06102 / account code 001-0619-414.90-02.

Tyler Executime, part of the Tyler Technologies software family, provides advanced scheduling software which will automate and improve the complex shift scheduling required to keep the detention center operating within statutorily mandated parameters. As part of the Tyler solution set, the county will benefit from increased integration points between Tyler Munis (our ERP system), Tyler Odyssey (our case management and jail system), and Tyler Executime. This software will replace much of the manual activity required to develop detention officer schedules.

Existing integration points, both to PeopleSoft and KABA, will decrease the need for Collin County to develop interfaces between the systems and will allow the county to leverage Tyler for any required modifications needed to accommodate county specific business needs.
